Perusing the sports bars and clubs in Sand Diego is like a scene from the movie “Groundhog Day”. As you walk into each of the sports bars and clubs in San Diego it is like relieving the same experience over and over again. Some of the design is different, couple of different faces but nothing really jumps out at you. Same fare, same beer, same atmosphere. After a couple of weekends of same old, same old, you start to think that maybe this is all San Diego has to offer.
Put the Brakes On
Before you decide that every bar and club in San Diego is the same experience, take a stroll over to the Tipsy Crow. The Tipsy Crow is chock full of different but not so different that you feel uncomfortable grabbing a beer and watching the game. There are a couple of things that are instant stand out features that are hard to find in the rest of the bars and clubs in the area. A couple of things you will notice right away:
* It is in one of the oldest standing buildings in the area
* There are three levels of fun, the main bar, the crow’s nest and the underground
* There is something for everyone in your group to do
The building itself has a long interesting history, erected in 1847 it has been home to some interesting businesses/characters. Anyone that appreciates architecture or history will find this club to be fascinating. They have an awesome happy hour, and use the drink exchange to drive up and down the cost of libations, it’s fun to watch and participate in. They host nightly events every day of the week and of course you can always catch the game that is on!
